Gardner Rehab and Nursing is seeking an experienced Executive Food Service Assistant for a skilled nursing & rehabilitation center located in Gardner, MA. This position is responsible for overseeing resident meal preparation in accordance with facility policy and procedures. Essential functions include:. A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate and required experience. Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending upon formal degree or training. Experience in long term care settings highly desirable. High volume, complex food service operations experience. Institutional and batch cooking experiences. Hands-on chef experience a must. Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation. Experience with therapeutic diets and modified consistencies highly desirable. ServSafe certified - highly desirable. This is a salaried management position with benefits available.
